It gets an attractive pricing and highly efficient engine appealing to customers who value speed and performance. Competing with the likes of the KTM Duke 200, TVS Apache RTR200 and Bajaj Dominar 400 among others in its class, the Yamaha FZ25 gets an aggressive stance.
Yamaha FZ25 has gone on sale in three color options of Ballistic Blue, Warrior White and Knight Black appealing to young buyers in the country. It gets muscular street naked stance and draws design inspiration from the MT03 and M-Slaz. Design elements include LED headlamps, chiseled fuel tank, tank extensions and a short exhaust.
It measures 2,015mm in length, 770mm on width and 1,075mm in height and sits on a wheelbase measuring 1,360mm. It gets ground clearance of 160mm and seat height of 795mm. Kerb weight is at 148 kgs and fuel tank capacity stands at 14 liters. Its instrument console is made up of digital speedometer, tachometer and trip meter besides odometer, clock and fuel gauge.
Engine specifications on the Yamaha FZ25 include a 249cc single cylinder, air cooled, four stroke, SOHC, 2 valve engine with fuel injection system. This engine is capable of 20.9 PS power at 8,000 rpm and 20 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is possible in 8.5 seconds and top speed stands at 141 kmph. Braking is via 282mm hydraulic single disc with 2 pot caliper in the front and 220mm hydraulic single disc with single pot at the rear. Telescopic forks and monoshock swing arm suspension are seen at the front and rear respectively.
