KTM Duke 200 is offered in three colors of orange, black and white. The new Duke 200 meets with BSIV emission norms and gets a more powerful engine, new body graphics and offers sharper handling facilities. The only 200cc naked bike with racing genes, the new Duke, which has been updated for the 2017 model year, measures 2,050mm in length, 760mm in width and 810mm in height. It sits on a 1,070mm long wheelbase and gets ground clearance of 165mm.
Key features on the 2017 KTM Duke 200 include an 11 liter fuel tank, silencer positioned close to machines center of gravity and telescopic fork with high quality upside down suspension along with 280 mm diameter front disc brakes. It also receives standard features of a digital speedmeter, tachometer and tripmeter. Automatic headlamp on feature, new MRF radial tyres, improved radiator fans and new alloy wheels are also a part of this updated model.
The Duke 200 sits on 17” wheels fitted with 110/70×17 front tyre and 150/60×17 rear tyre. It gets a trellis frame chassis and WP upside down front suspension and monoshock at the rear. Drum brakes at the front and rear measure 300mm and 230mm respectively.
No mechanical changes are seen on the 2017 KTM Duke 200 which continues to be powered by a 199.5cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, engine offering 25 PS peak power at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm torque at 8,000 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox. The new KTM claims a top speed of 138 kmph and gets ABS as a standard feature. Where competition in India is concerned, the 2017 KTM Duke 200 competes with the TVS RTR 200 and Bajaj 200 NS.
