Benelli TNT 25, the cheapest motorcycle from the Italian bike maker for India is brought into the country via the CKD route. It is priced competitively and rivals the likes of KTM 390 Duke, Mahindra Mojo and the Honda CBR 250R.
This 250cc TNT 25 motorcycle was launched in India in December 2016 and is assembled at the DSK Motowheels plant near Pune. Offered in two variants of Standard and Premium, the Benelli TNT 25 gets two color options of Rosso and Bianco priced from INR 1.68-1.88 lakhs.
Benelli TNT 25 is built on a trellis framework. It sports street fighter style features and gets minimum bodywork and a well sculpted fuel tank. Distinctive features include a sharp headlamp, clear lens turn indicators and twin rear view mirrors fitted to the handlebar. It gets a semi digital instrument cluster, tail lamp and black colored grab rail for pillion rider safety. Clear lens turn indicators are also fitted to the rear fender.
Engine specifications on the Benelli TNT 25 include a 249cc single cylinder unit offering 28.16 bhp power at 9,800 rpm and 21.61 Nm torque at 8,000 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox. Suspension duties are via USD telescopic forks in the front and WP monoshock at the rear and brakes include 300mm disc in the front and 220mm disc at the rear. The engine allows acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 10 seconds and a top speed of 145 kmph.
